Two new tunes from Sheffield band "The Pony Harvest", a mere 14 years after the band's debut CD was released ... and it's been worth the wait! They're based on some tracks that the band had started back in 2007/8 and supplemented remotely in lockdown by contributions from musical chums in Essex and Devon.

There's a cold war synth/'behind-the-iron-curtain' vibe going on, with 'Orla' sounding like Kwik Save own brand Morricone, a lysergic slow-burner, according to the band!

Being a child in the 70s and early 80s had a certain spookiness to it. Spirits seemed more readily available. I recall a homesickness which would haunt me even then, as if I were from another place entirely. Life's a mystery which childhood makes even worse, so let us revisit it in all its haunting creepiness. Who are the "pocket pavilions"? I can find nothing more other than this one song, and it's a very good tune I really enjoy. Fire of Renewal
